Thesis statements

I know that I am not the only teacher that teaches, teaches, teaches, teaches how to write a proper thesis statement. I also know that I am not the only teacher that bangs her head on her kitchen table when grading papers. I am always on the lookout for some “trick of the trade” to help students understand what a thesis is and more importantly – what a thesis is not.

Here is a link to a terrific article that deals with “flipping” a writing lesson and blending technology with that archaic practice of pushing a wooden stick filled with graphite onto a piece of manufactured pulp wood. Enjoy!!!!
